Welcome to Summitpedia, your hotspot for everything Summitsphere! If you want to contribute to the wiki, you can do so by signing up for a Miraheze account. However, before signing up and making your first edit, it's important that you agree to our Code of Conduct. These rules are very important, so be sure to read through them carefully.

Guidelines

  • By signing up, you agree that you are 15+ years old and are an English speaker who doesn't produce too many grammatical or spelling errors.
  • We have zero tolorance for people looking to vandalize or spread misinformation on purpose. Those who are knowingly breaking these rules will be blocked and prevented from creating new accounts with no appeals.
  • Sign up with an account name that doesn't include offensive content or impersonates a person.
  • Alternative accounts are not allowed, and will be blocked indefinitely. Repeatedly creating alt accounts will result in a temporary suspension.
  • NSFW (Not Safe For Work), NSFL (Not Safe For Life) or any other adult content is prohibited.
  • Plagerism (eg. copying text word by word or taking credit for something you haven't written) is prohibited. This includes copying text from other wikis that use the CC BY-SA 4.0 license.
  • All written text must be neutral, meaning the text you write must not include your view or opinions.
    • To extend to this rule, do not include controversial topics about certain organisations or individuals.
  • We are not interested in fan content (such as fan drawings, mods, fangames, music, mockups, etc).
    • Exception: Fan content may be included on your talk page, and submitted Antonjam projects may be mentioned on its respective page.
  • Administrators have the final say. We may block you at any point for interacting negatively with other users or ignoring warnings.

Wiki Basics

CONSTRUCTION ZONE, PROCEED WITH CAUTION...

This page is a work-in-progress and may contain user notes.
You can help by finishing it.
Notes:

  • "Character pages" and "Enemy pages" need a flowchart of sorts.
  • Formatting sucks balls.

This wiki is split up into several types of pages that differ from each other in content, template usage and formatting. As for Summitpedia, these pages are ones we do want:

  • Game pages - Pages dedicated to specific games developed and/or published by Summitsphere.
  • Character pages - Pages dedicated to important characters.
  • Enemy pages - Pages dedicated to common enemies or bosses.
  • Object pages - Pages dedicated to common objects or obstacles.
  • Level pages - Pages dedicated to (shared) levels or themes.
  • List pages - Pages that contain lists of either one of the three categories above.

This wiki also has several namespaces. These namespaces start with a specific category

  • Talk: - Talk pages, used for discussing the contents of a page or asking for help.
  • User: - Personal user pages. Can be used to introduce yourself or as a sandbox for main wiki pages. (Only you or administrators can edit your userpage.)
  • Summitpedia: - Dedicated Summitpedia pages, such as guidelines (the one you're reading right now!), the main page, and so on.
  • File: - File pages for anything that gets uploaded to the wiki.
  • MediaWiki: - Dedicated MediaWiki pages, such as site notices and custom css. (Only administrators can edit these.)
  • Template: - Page templates that are added to a page by using two curly brackets ({{Template_name}}).
  • Category: - Categories that are placed below pages or included within a template.
  • Disambiguation: - Disambiguation pages, used as a landing page to redirect to two or more pages with a similar name.

These are the pages we do want to see on the wiki. As for some don'ts:

  • Pages dedicated to in-game events (such as Antonblast's Happy Hour).
  • Pages about the developers (may change in the future).
  • Pages for insignificant characters (such as a majority of the player roster for Antonball Deluxe), as these can be written on a game's respective page.
  • Pages for cameo characters that aren't from Summitsphere's games (such as Peppino Spaghetti).

For help with basic editing, be sure to read MediaWiki's help page for detailed guides about formatting.
